Record Components:
policy - all, or quorum when the join waits for a number of arrivals
threshold - how many arrivals that number is; null under all
activated - branches the split selected (S)
arrived - branches that reached the join (A)
ended - branches that finished before reaching it (E)
pending - branches that could still arrive (P)
decision - continue, end or fail; null while it is still open
status - the activation's own lifecycle: open, cancelling, ready, joining, done, cancelled or failed
